Firefox(well, Gecko) + Emacs = Conkeror.
Emacs in JavaScript is another way of putting it. Text editing is still not up to par with real Emacs, sadly. It's pretty close, though.
What I find neat is (with a bit of hacking to the extension's package) you can use either Firefox extensions or write your own in JavaScript.
I'm really amazed at how much faster everything I do on the web is done in Conkeror as compared to Firefox.
I stopped used an RSS reader because I can visit a blog I want to read with a keychord. All bookmarks are accessable with an ido-like completion functionality. Same with most search functions.
Many major-modes (for different sites) are built-in.
I wouldn't be using Emacs were it not for Conkeror.
*feel free to move this to the lounge if you think it inappropriate
