Cusp or Emacs - Which?

Does anyone on this forum use Cusp? As a newbie I find it a lot more easy to interact with than emacs+slime, which has a really steep learning curve. What would be the reasons for learning emacs+slime nevertheless? In other words, what advantages does emacs+slime have over Cusp?
