Hello! (Just seemed like the right place to say it.)

Hello!

I just joined, and this board seems like the appropriate locale for meeting some friendly faces. (Or, in other words, I don't actually have a question yet, I just didn't want to be a lurker forever. :) )

Professionally, I spend most of my time in T-SQL and (ugh) Powershell. I've finally colluded with some coworkers to get Python in the environment, but it's unlikely that we'll be using Lisp there any time soon. On my own time, I haven't had a lot of time for personal coding projects lately, so I'm just getting back into the swing of things. Common Lisp (and lisps in general) are an island of sanity making the best use of what time I have for them, although an aesthetic sense drives the point home.
Outside of computer programming, I keep tarantulas (and serve as treasurer for a local entomology club), play a few instruments (mostly mandolin), and spend far too much time playing Tetris.

On a slightly more serious note - lately I've been working through LeetCode problems and similar, as a way to sharpen my mind a bit outside of my work life (which is mostly not that interesting from a code standpoint); is the "Homework" subforum an appropriate place to ask for code reviews or discuss solutions? (LeetCode itself does not offer Lisp in any dialect as a solution language, so discussing there will fall on deaf ears.)

Thanks for being a welcoming group! I look forward to being an active participant!

That looks the right subforum to me. The site is a little quiet, but there seem to be a few people answering questions as they appear.

I hadn't come across LeetCode before. My favourite source of problems is rosettacode - and trying to push my language-of-the-month up the list of most completed tasks!
