Common Lisp on the Iphone/Ipod Touch

Post by speech impediment » Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:15 pm

I plan on getting an Ipod Touch and would like to learn to program on it for fun. It seems development is slow. I see things concerning ECL and Nu, but I have no idea what the experience is like. Anyone doing any Lisp programming directly on Iphones (or even Android phones)?

A person told me that he created this reversi game for iPhone and iPod touch using scheme compiled with Gambit-C and then GCC. He gave me a link to a tutorial about this as well. It is an option if you like it.

I just got a Palm Pre about 3 weeks ago and was thinking the exact same thing.
Cheers, Dave

There was something on Reddit about that... this.

There are instructions in the mailing list concerning how to build and and use ECL in the iPhone. Unfortunately they are for a slightly (just slightly) older version. It would be great if somebody cared to update that and contribute it as an add-on.
